Stories from the Book

A note from the publisher: “An interesting social phenomenon has taken place where some people have attitudes that the disabled are unrightfully entitled to privileges that able-bodied are not; such as handicapped parking places, special entrances or seating for certain events, etc.  We wrote this book, not only to dispel this myth but also to share some of the humorous events that have taken place in Mario’s life, as well as my own. We were able to gather some pictures of stories from the book, so we hope the reader can identify with them an enjoy.” Summer Ferrante, BA Sociology

People didn't always see a person with a disability who had to use a ramp or elevator as people who have been given unnecessary privileges. But I run into that often now. People are saying, 'Why do we have to go to great expense for these people?'
